Galgotias University hosted a high-level Japanese delegation alongside representatives from the Governments of India and Uttar Pradesh to discuss collaboration in Green Hydrogen, Electric Vehicles, Semiconductors, technology exchange and joint research. The visit aims to strengthen India-Japan academic partnerships, sustainable innovation, advanced manufacturing and global research opportunities for students and faculty.

Galgotias University welcomed a high-level delegation of government officials, industry leaders and academic experts from Japan, along with representatives of the Governments of India and Uttar Pradesh, for extensive discussions aimed at expanding academic and research collaboration. The dialogue focused on three technologies that are central to the global sustainability agenda—Green Hydrogen, Electric Vehicles and Semiconductors—while also exploring opportunities for cooperation across a broader range of academic and research disciplines.

The discussions examined the possibility of launching joint research programmes, technology exchange initiatives and academic partnerships designed to create new opportunities for students and researchers. The proposed collaborations are expected to contribute to advancements in clean energy, sustainable mobility and next-generation manufacturing. The engagement also reflects the increasing role of universities in connecting global policy leadership with advanced research and emerging talent.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of Galgotias University, described the visit as a significant milestone for the institution. He said that hosting such a distinguished delegation demonstrates the growing importance of Greater Noida as a major academic, industrial and transportation hub. He added that the University intends to transform these discussions into joint research projects, exchange programmes and industry partnerships in which students and faculty members can actively participate.

The meeting highlighted the longstanding relationship between India and Japan, built upon centuries of civilisational and cultural exchange and strengthened by shared democratic values and complementary capabilities. Japan contributes expertise in precision manufacturing, clean energy technologies and industrial innovation, while India offers a vast pool of young engineering and research talent, large-scale capabilities and one of the world's fastest-growing economies.
